First let me apologize for last week's newsletter. It was purely my own error, and not some technical glitch, that caused the links to point back to our main page and not to the articles specifically. To ease any potential confusion, we posted the newsletter right on the main page. Unfortunately, we soon discovered that the height of the main page is limited in the template we are using (something that is on our list of things to fix) so users who logged in could not see the entire newsletter because it was too long! That caused us to modify our menu structure so you could link to each article individually. We also made the titles of the articles clickable in order to open the articles separately rather than being embedded within the larger newsletter.

Although all of this started based on a mistake, we got a lot of positive feedback on the impromptu changes so we are keeping most of them as permanent new features of the site. We are testing some ways of keeping both the featured images and the newsletter on the main page without either one overshadowing the other. Until we have a reliable way of doing that, the newsletter will be moved back to just a menu link. We've also implemented a new system of splitting the online newsletter into an accordion format so that each article can be displayed on its own yet still within the larger newsletter.
